| Kashan carpets are woven in the area of Kashan, a city in Isfahan Province in North Central Iran. Carpets were made in the 17th and early 18th century, but production ceased in 1722 after the Afghan invasion and wasn't resumed until 1920s. Early Kashans were made with Manchester wool and are softer. |
